This hands-on class is all about transforming thrifted, preloved, or secondhand textiles into a one-of-a-kind hoodie. Bring your own textiles from home, something from your local thrift store, or Karen will have extra options of thrifted goodies for you to purchase for $10.For the workshop, Karen will supply:
-An oversized hoodie pattern in sizes XS-3XL.
-Extra fabric/textiles for purchase $10 if you need.
-Energy! She will be well caffeinated!
-Step by step sew-along instruction.
-Snacks of course!
What to keep in mind when choosing your textile:
-Thickness- your sewing machine will need to make it through 3 layers.
-We suggest you not use a cherished textile for your first hoodie! You might make some mistakes- so let’s learn using a textile that is not so loved!
