About this Event
AT NEW SHARPSBURG LOCATION: 606 MAIN ST, PGH, PA 15215
Come learn how to sew zippers and button-holes using a sewing machine by making either a zipper pouch, journal cover, or other project out of upcycled denim from old jeans.
Patterns and live instruction for a journal cover and a zipper pouch will be provided. A workshop atmosphere invites participants to bring their own project to work on and ask questions about as well.
Upcycled denim scraps from washed and worn old jeans will be provided; participants are invited to bring their own material to work with if they so choose. Zippers, buttons, thread, and other necessary materials will be provided as well. Participants are invited to bring their own sewing machine, but a shared machine or two will be available.
This event is brought to you by the creators of Trans Tailoring ;-)
$10/person
No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. If $10 is not an accessible option for you, please send us an email at [email protected] to RSVP for this workshop. You will not be asked to explain your financial situation.
