About this Event
In collaboration with Wellesley Community Centre, Written By Women is proud to present Unwritten Strengths, a women’s self-defence workshop designed for women-identifying individual to help you build confidence, coordination, and personal empowerment.
When & Where:
- Please arrive at Wellesley Community Centre in the Multi-Purpose Room B (main floor) between 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM at the latest to check in and get settled before the session begins. Individuals who have not registered through Eventbrite will not be granted entry into the event.
What to Expect:
- Learn and practice beginner friendly self-defence movements.
- Improve balance, control, and body awareness.
- Gain practical skills in a safe, supportive environment.
What to Wear & Bring:
- Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for movement.
- Water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Ticket info to check in between the 11:30 AM -12:00 PM time slot.
Attendance Policy:
By registering, you agree to our strike system:
- Failing to notify us 48 hours in advance if you cannot attend, or not showing up, results in one strike.
- Accumulating three strikes will prevent you from attending future events hosted by Written By Women.
- If you are unable to attend, email as soon as possible.
Refuel Lunch Station:
- After the session, enjoy lunch from us at our refuel station!
