About this Event

🔮 Unwritten: An Archetype Quest
Thursday Aug 23, 2025 | Museum of Modern Renaissance, Somerville, MA

There’s a moment in every story when the path disappears.

You’ve done everything you were supposed to. You’ve worked hard, grown, reflected, even healed. And still, something doesn’t quite make sense. The map you’ve been using doesn’t seem to apply anymore. The roles you’ve been playing feel worn out.

You’re not broken.You’re at a turning point.

Unwritten: An Archetype Quest is a live, immersive experience where you’ll step outside the surface of your story—and explore what’s shaping it underneath. Through symbolic insight, small group conversation, and a personal archetypal encounter, you’ll begin to see your life with new eyes—and start to imagine what’s next.

🌿 What You’ll Experience

🌀 A mirror, not a map - Early in the evening, you’ll be invited into a symbolic encounter with a single archetype—one that reflects something essential about your current moment. It might name a challenge, point toward a forgotten strength, or reveal a choice you didn’t know you were making. Your job won’t be to solve it—but to get curious about the story it’s telling.

🌲 A guided inner journey - We’ll begin with a grounding meditation to trace the path that led you here—tonight, yes, but also here in your life. You’ll enter a symbolic landscape and walk with it, noticing what’s growing, what’s decaying, and what’s quietly waiting for you to pay attention.

💬 Small group reflection and story work - This is not about giving advice. It’s about discovering meaning. In a small, facilitated group, you’ll reflect on what this archetype brings up for you—its light, its shadow, and what it might be asking of you now. You’ll practice honest speaking, active listening, and holding space for others to do the same.

🌌 A sacred, phone-free space - The experience takes place inside the stunning Museum of Modern Renaissance, a hand-painted temple of myth and transformation. You’ll be asked to remove your shoes, silence your phone, and step fully into an atmosphere designed for symbolic work and inner exploration.

Who This Is For

You might not be able to name exactly what’s shifting. But you can feel it.

Come if:

  • You’ve hit a threshold in your life—internal or external—and don’t yet know what’s on the other side
  • You’re caught in a pattern you can’t seem to change
  • You’ve lost your sense of clarity, purpose, or next steps
  • You want a deeper, more symbolic perspective on your current chapter
  • You’re longing for real connection, within and without

There’s no belief system required. No prior knowledge of archetypes. Just a willingness to explore the story beneath the surface.

🕯️ A Note Before You Come

This event is a container—not a fix. You won’t leave with a five-step plan.

But you may leave with something rarer: a new relationship to your own story.

Come ready to listen. To speak honestly. To meet yourself without flinching.

Your story is still unfolding. Let’s find out what chapter you’re in.

👥 Your Guides

Tim Lewandowski

I created Unwritten because I needed it myself. At 40, I found myself anxious, adrift, and unsure why the life I’d built didn’t feel like mine. So I stripped away all distractions—no screens, no people, just me in the New Mexico desert. And what I found wasn’t an answer. It was curiosity. The same kind I used to feel in the middle of a novel—when anything could still happen. Archetypes helped me reclaim that wonder and rewrite the story I’d been unconsciously living. Now, I help others do the same.

Michael Danklefs

My path led me through addiction, loss, and severe consequences for not listening to my gut. Through deep men's work, accountability practices, and shadows work, I began to rewrite the script. I used to think that I was the hero of my story -- until I saw how many other roles I was playing without realizing it. Now I support others to turn their lumps into lessons, and guide them from regret to thriving by living an intentional life. Awareness of the commitments we make to ourselves and others requires the integrity to follow through on those commitments.
