Join us for the dazzling polychoral sonorities of 17th-century Ukrainian composer Mykola Dyletsky. A brilliant music theorist, Dyletsky described the musical circle of fifths decades before anyone in Western Europe did so. Influenced by the virtuosic compositions for antiphonal choirs composed for Saint Mark's Cathedral in Venice, Dyletsky crafted soaring musical lines, intimate penitential entreaties, and jubilant outpourings of celebration in service of the Slavonic liturgy. All donations collected at the concert will benefit Regenerate Ukraine and their efforts to support Ukrainian refugees in the Binghamton area.
