About this Event
Why is it acceptable for women to cry (but maybe not too much) while men must stifle their grief? Do people grieve differently, or is it a gendered expectation? If not, why do these stereotypes persist?
Step into the unexpected, where we break stereotypes and embrace vulnerability. In a society that stifles emotions, we invite you to explore men's often overlooked experiences of grief. Discover the true strength in shedding tears, debunking the myth that they signify weakness. Join us as we honor personal expressions of grief and celebrate the courage it takes to be truly vulnerable. Explore reflections such as :-
- What are the societal expectations about how men and women express grief?
- What steps can we take to support men and women in expressing grief openly and authentically?
The entry for this event includes choice of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage
NB: Men and women are welcome
