About this Event
UNREAL. Extraordinary, Impossible, Nonexistent: this multiplicitous concept serves as a source of inspiration, a rallying cry, a warning and a tool of oppression. That which is unreal is limitless, but chipping away its edges has driven innovation, science, and art for millennia. Some things which were once unreal are now commonplace; some will forever remain in that “other” realm. Where some see danger, others see a challenge. Where some see nonsense, others see beauty. And some employ that which is unreal as a tool to illustrate the very real problems we face today.
The 2025 SciComm Art Exhibit, UNREAL features about 30 works of art that that touch on topics like futurism, science fiction, inventions, fantasy, metaphor, challenging the impossible and dystopias/eutopias.
The Exhibit runs February 10th - 14th, between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Tickets are not required for entry.
