UNRAVELLED is a six-part intimate and interactive speaker series showcasing some of Saskatoon’s most celebrated and influential leaders. During the sessions, each featured guest will share about their business and life journeys with raw and real vulnerability in a safe and intentional space. Not only will attendees have the opportunity to bear witness to some powerful and poignant stories, they will be participating in an experience that is thoughtfully designed to foster genuine and meaningful connection with the other participants in the space.

Saturday, March 9 - Money, Meaning & Mothering: Christie Sondergaard (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

Wednesday, March 20 - Courage, Commitment & Community: Jess Tetu (7:00 pm - 10:00 pm)

Saturday, April 13 - Purpose, Power & Privilege: Paula Collins (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

Saturday, May 11 - Grief, Grace & Growth: Silvia Martini (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

Saturday, June 8 - Sex, Success & Shadows: Celeste Lemieux (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

Saturday, June 22 - Truth, Trauma & Transformation: Dawn Deguire (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)



THE DETAILS:
  • All sessions take place at the Saskatoon Club. Kindly note that there is a dress code in effect and business caual wear is required.
  • The majority of the sessions occur on Saturday afternoons, with the exception of Jess Tetu's appearence, which will take place Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00 pm.
  • Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to ensure the opportunity to settle in. The doors will be closed promptly at the start time of the session.
  • Light snacks and beverages will be provided at all events, including a signature "Mocktail," courtesy of the Saskatoon Club. No alcohol will be served.
  • Each attendee will receive a beautiful bracelet designed by local artist Tara Boles (courtesy of Love My Mind), as well as a stunning Glass Heart (courtesy of The Glass Heart Project). Attendees will additionally recieve a wellness voucher courtesy of Evolve Counselling and Wellness.

SPEAKER BIOS:

Paula Collins

Paula Collins is the visionary Founder and CEO of MASALA Model & Talent, established in Sept 2000. Her multifaceted expertise extends into the realm of Personal Development, Modeling, Acting, Image Consulting and Public Speaking. She passionately guides individuals towards unlocking their full potential through her mentorship programs. Paula is an author- Courage, Change & Faith: Inspiring Narratives of Black Women Leaders. One of Paula’s many accomplishments is becoming Canada’s Top 100 Black Women To Watch of 2023, by Canada’s International Black Women of Excellence (CIBWE).

Dawn Deguire

Dawn Deguire is a yoga instructor, certified coach and energy worker (Angel Reiki Master and Holy Fire Reiki practitioner), whose life calling is to help bring awakening to people and society. Her unique intuitive style blends multiple approaches and philosophies through a blend of new age and Indigenous spirituality, yoga, recovery, and psychology.

In her personal life, Dawn is an avid spiritual seeker through her Indigenous nehiyaw (Cree) culture and recovery community. She is the co-founder of the Saskatchewan Indigenous Yoga Association, an organization that makes the healing benefits of yoga accessible to Indigenous people in Saskatchewan.

She has a professional background in communications and studied Public Relations at the University of Victoria. She is a certified Professional Director (Pro.Dir.) through the Johnson-Shoyama School of Public Policy. Dawn is currently studying psychology and sociology at the University of Saskatchewan.

Celeste Lemieux

Celeste Lemieux is the dreamweaver and proud owner of Positive Passions Wellness & Resource, where she has been joyfully promoting positive sexuality & healthy lifestyles since 2005.
Through Positive Passions, she has shared the concepts of diversity, empowerment, wellness, consent and sexual well-being and has been offering information and guidance in regards to sexuality, intimacy, relationships (to self and others) and the common challenges in these areas for over 20 years.


Celeste’s background includes education and study in the areas of anatomy, physiology, human sexuality, psychology, sacred sexuality, yoga, as well as energetic and traditional healing modalities. These areas of study and practice as well as her strong commitment to trauma informed principles have created openings for her to share this wisdom with thousands of people.
After 11 years of experiential learning with traditional medicines in ceremonial ways, she has completed the Advance Psychedelic Assisted Therapy training provided by ATMA learning centres. Supported by the guidance, initiations and tests by shaman, elders, medicine people and safe space holders, as well as the medicines themselves that have provided the psychedelic assistance to her path of balance, she is now offering her experience as a safe space provider of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy.

Silvia L. Martini S.O.M., C.Dir, PSGov., EBAC, BAC

Silvia’s passion is within efficiently and effectively aligning strategy to successful outcomes. Her success is lauded by those with whom she has served. She is thePresident & CEO of Interlink Research Inc., and Principal of Martini Consulting. She specializes in serving a select group of clienteles to whom she dedicates her expertise in strategy, governance, entrepreneurial mentorship, and leadership.

She is a Charter Director with The Directors College (2017), through the DeGroote School of Business (McMaster University) and the Conference Board of Canada. She also holds a Certificate in Public Service Governance with the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (2024), and for Non-Profit Board Governance (2014) with the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto). She is a member in good standing of the Institute of Corporate Directors. She holds an Executive Certification with the University of Saskatchewan in Business Administration. She is a member in good standing of the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, and the Saskatchewan Landlords Association.

Following almost four decades of success and commitment, Silvia’s extensive knowledge, experience and successful outcomes in business and leadership have been recognized with investiture of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, (2020) the highest honour awarded in Saskatchewan by the Government of Saskatchewan, Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (2022), the SKLA Small Housing Provider of the Year Award (2023), the Raj Manek Mentorship Above & Beyond Award (2016), the Dr. Brooke Dobni Excellence Award for “Most Distinguished EBAC Graduate” (2014); the Chamber of Commerce “President’s Award for Outstanding Work” (2013), and induction in The International Golden Key Honour Society for exemplary academic achievement. Recognized as a Recognized as a Trail Blazer, she was featured in the June 2019 issue of “Refined” Magazine and was a finalist for the ATHENA Award.

Christie Sondergaard

Christie Sondergaard is a muse, artist, mentor, entrepreneur, financial advisor, visionary leader for the WHOLE WOMAN embodying her feminine being, living a life of extraordinary meaning and abundance, and building a heart-led, passionate, meaningful and impactful business. Jess Tetu
