This class is a movement class targeting the fascia in our bodies. Fascia is a connective tissue found throughout the body. It surrounds muscles, blood vessels, and nerves, providing support and structure to these tissues. Fascia is composed primarily of collagen, a strong and flexible protein.
Fascia gliding involves gentle and controlled movements aimed at releasing tension and improving the mobility of the fascia. This can be done through techniques like stretching, rolling, or sliding movements applied to the fascia. The goal is to promote better circulation, reduce stiffness, and enhance overall movement efficiency.
Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues in the body, including the fascia, ligaments, and joints. By holding poses for extended periods in a relaxed and supported manner, we gently stretch and stress these tissues, promoting flexibility and mobility.
We will end our practice with a beautiful vibrational sound relaxation. This allows the body to integrate the benefits of the practice. It gives the muscles, joints, and nervous system time to absorb the effects of the stretches and movements performed during the session.
This will vary week by week from a variety of instruments including my gongs, crystal bowls, mosai & shamanic drums & wind chimes.

* A blanket
* Small pillow for head
* Water

Own eye mask though I do have lavender ones available.
