About the Speaker
Mr Sng Hock Lin is the Chief of Silver Generation Office, the outreach arm of the Agency for Integrated Care. Mr Sng is a staunch advocate of active ageing and lifelong learning. He holds a Master in Gerontology from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and is currently pursuing his PhD in the same field. He was also honoured with the Alice Lim Memorial Fund Gold Award by SUSS.
He aims to promote volunteerism as a national cause to empower seniors to take control of their well-being, and hopes to inspire community care initiatives to ensure that our seniors live well and age gracefully.
About the Performers
Presbyterian Community Services (PCS) Esther Active Ageing Centre (AAC) initiated a Men's Guitar Club named The Estheritar in November 2022 with the aim of implementing an active ageing program that would kindle the interest and passion of older male visitors within the AAC community.
The activities of this guitar club provide a platform for seniors to interact with their peers, share their love for music, and inspire others with their talent and dedication. The club also strives to prevent social isolation among seniors in our community and foster the spirit of active ageing.
