About this Event
Welcome to Women in Tech York's October event!
Who are we?
Women in Tech York is a community! We're made up of individuals studying, working or interested in technology. We run events where attendees can share their knowledge and interests, as well as encourage and empower one another whilst building their network.
Our events are not exclusive to women; absolutely everyone is welcome. You also don't need to be a coder or consider yourself technical to get something out of our events.
Events run on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
We welcome all students and career-changers who are interested in learning more about tech and careers in the industry.
As always, there will be a free buffet (vegan options available) thanks to our sponsors BJSS and Isotoma. Please let us know about allergies in advance.
This month...
It's all about uncovering your hidden strengths! We'll be joined by Tony Richards, an Agile Coach and Director with more than 10 years of experience in helping individuals, teams, and organizations achieve their agility and value delivery goals. Tony is currently involved in the digital transformation of a healthcare provider, where he coaches and trains the teams and leaders to adopt a product-oriented mindset and a customer-centric approach. He was also a co-emcee at the Global Scrum Gathering in Amsterdam!
Tony is incredibly passionate about creating a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation, where people can thrive and grow. As if that wasn't enough, he's also co-founder of agileYork, a meetup group for agile enthusiasts.
This workshop is a unique opportunity for you to uncover your hidden talents and explore how you can integrate them more effectively into your career and personal life. A journey of self-discovery that promises to be both enlightening and empowering.

Can you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?
We will always do our best to cater for everyone. If you let us know about your requirements at least 72 hours in advance we'll pass them on to the venue and ask them to accommodate. We order a vegan buffet by default.
If you have any concerns about the food on the night then please speak to a member of staff. Nutritional information can be found on Revolution's website. We usually order a buffet which typically includes mini burgers, fries, salads, garlic bread and small snacks. If you need to know what food will be provided ahead of time then please let us know.
