ABOUT THE WORKSHOPThe fitness world emphasizes the importance of the gluteal muscles and the core to be one of the most fundamental elements in working with the physical body. Yoga world also brings awareness to the same part of the body however they are called mulabandha and uddiyana bandha; the body’s mystical power, energy harnessing and metaphorical balancing centers. In this workshop we will define anatomically the core and glutes and their biomechanics in movement and then we will analyze the bandhas in the yogic perspective; what they are and how to use them. We will then implement the knowledge in the strong yoga flow.
Workshop Content:
-The anatomy of gluteus and core muscles
-The biomechanics of gluteus and core muscles
-The yogic powerhouses: mulabandha and uddiyana bandha
-The anatomy of the bandhas
-The biomechanics of the bandhas
-The energetic and metaphorical connections of the bandhas
-The connection between anatomy and bandhas
-How to implement glutes and core with the bandhas in yoga practice
-How to strengthen the anatomical parts with the energetic parts and cultivate more awareness in the yoga practice
Timing: Saturday 31st July at 11:00am (120 minutes)
Joining Fee: Single Pass 175 aed, 150 aed if you buy the 5 Workshops Pass (valid for 6 months).
Venue: Yoga House in Intercontinental Dubai Marina
*Note that the workshop will go ahead with a minimum of 4 persons.
