About this Event
Websites are a great way to create an online platform no matter what your business is, but as a start up or early stage entreprenuer, it might be a bit daunting to tackle and maintain, especially if it's not in your field of expertise.
Facilitated by George Jones, founder and head instructor of Flatpack Coders, he will take you through a practical workshop where he will teach you the basic background and coding make-up of your website and how you can customise this to suit the needs of your business.
What he'll cover:
- Intros + agenda
- How the internet actually works
- How to break your website and make fake news (Group activity)
- The three languages of the web (Overview of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
- Let's code a website together (Code-along session)
- How to employ ChatGPT as a developer
...there will also be time at the end for a Q&A for further questions.
Please bring your laptops with you to code along during this practical workshop.
