Session #1: Unleashing Efficiency: The Art and Science of Performance Testing
An overview of performance testing and its potential to enhance the stability, scalability, and overall performance of the applications / solutions.
Performance testing has become increasingly critical in today’s software development landscape for several reasons:
- Users expect applications to be fast and responsive. Delays can lead to frustration and abandonment.
- As businesses grow, their applications must handle increased loads. Performance testing helps ensure that systems can scale effectively without degrading performance.
- In a crowded marketplace, superior performance can be a key differentiator. Companies that prioritize performance testing can deliver a better user experience than competitors.
- Slow or unreliable applications can damage a brand's reputation, making performance testing critical to maintaining customer trust.
The important areas that are often skipped! To rather frame it as
Pointers let’s put them as questions:
- Have we defined clear performance goals?
- Are we testing under realistic user scenarios?
- Are we including all relevant environments?
- Are we considering the impact of third-party services?
- Are we running tests during the entire development lifecycle?
- Are we analyzing and acting on performance test results?
I gradually uncovered the answers to these questions throughout my Performance Testing journey, and now I'm excited to reflect on my learnings. I’m here to explain Performance testing and share valuable insights with everyone!

Mangesh Kumar, Performance Testing Technical Leader at Billennium IT
Mangesh Holds a degree in Information Technology and have more than 10 years working experience in IT industry from various domains such as Manufacturing, Utilities, Educational, Banking and Healthcare. Started his career as a Performance Executive and now he is a Technical Lead. Mangesh is not only handling the IT projects but also provides training within/outside organization.
