Unkindness Art's 2025 Halloween Party: Night Parade of 100 Demons

It’s time once again for Unkindness Art to host its annual Halloween party—and you know we’re going to pull out ALL the stops for our TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY! We hope you’re ready for oni, yōkai, ghouls, devils, ghosties, and all manner of ghastly creatures straight from Hell—it’s time for the NIGHT PARADE OF 100 DEMONS. Inspired by the Japanese legend of the Hyakki Yagyō, when all manner of supernatural spirits and apparitions parade through the streets of the human world, we hope you’ll join us in creating our own demon parade right here in RVA!

We’ve got tons of Halloween fun in store for you:

• Indoor and outdoor DJ sets and fire performers to get you in the spooky groove, courtesy of the Party Liberation Foundation (PLF);
• Aerial performances and roving characters mingling with the guests, courtesy of Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus;
• FREE catered food from our neighbors and friends Auntie Ning’s Filipino Food;
• Full bar courtesy of Golden Raven Mobile Bar (one free drink included in ticket price! Non-alcoholic options available!);
• The aforementioned official NIGHT PARADE around the neighborhood (optional participation but we hope you’ll join us!);
• Costume contest with trophies and CASH PRIZE for the person who best embodies this year's theme;
• The opportunity to purchase with your ticket an EXCLUSIVE commemorative 12” x 16” print from Teresa Sharpe, limited to a run of 50 only;
• and much more!

Join us starting at 8pm on Saturday, October 25th at Unkindness Art (2923 North Avenue, Richmond VA 23222) for a devilishly fun night of food & drink, music & dancing, performances & spooky costumes galore!

Info: Start the evening off right by mingling with the rest of our spooky costumed guests, enjoying food from Auntie Ning's and drinks provided by Golden Raven Mobile Bar. Check out our multiple DJ stages, both indoors and outdoors, that are sure to get you dancing! Be enthralled by fantastical aerial performances from Host of Sparrows--and try not to be too scared if you come across their roving characters in the crowd! Step outdoors for some air, and you'll be greeted with mesmerizing fire performers and dancers courtesy of PLF. Be sure to take some photobooth photos to commemorate your evening!

Info: Join us for the official "night parade" portion of the evening, where our roving performers lead us on a spooky walk through the neighborhood and back to the event venue. At this point the outdoor portion of the evening will conclude so as to abide by city noise ordinances.

Info: If you signed up for our costume contest earlier in the evening, gather inside the venue to compete for CASH prizes!
