Welcome to The University of Southampton's Sustainability Strategy Plan!

By 2030, the University aims to ensure that sustainability is a part of everything we do as an institution. During this event, we will introduce the University's Sustainability Strategic Plan, highlighting the University's sustainability targets as set out in its agreed six Sustainability Strategic Plan Goals. These include reducing our net-zero emissions and embedding sustainability into education, research, teaching and investments.

The event is intended to provide an update to students and staff who may have missed the previous dissemination event held in July 2025 at the University. The event will feature a presentation from members of the Sustainability Implementation Group (SIG), who are responsible for delivering the plan and will discuss how students/staff can actively contribute towards sustainability initiatives, including travel, waste and biodiversity.
