It's time to move beyond the beat in more ways than one. For one thing, we are exploring movement in a whole new way with Megan and Dmitri. Megan and Dmitri are two incredibly talented local instructors who will be teaching us how to bring Latin dance elements into Fusion. We will be building our dance vocabulary, exploring body isolations, and counterbalance. This is the perfect opportunity to expand your dance in entirely new ways.Beyond that, we are doubling down on our community commitments. We will be fundraising for Cahoots/White Bird, a non-profit here in our own community that provides a miriad of services for the unhoused and those with mental illness. We’ll be holding a raffle full of amazing prizes donated by our community. Prizes include private dance lessons, books, art, and more. All raffle ticket sales, plus 50% of our profits for the night will be donated. Unity Fusion exists to take all of us deeper in love for one another and for dance. Let's make this a night to remember, as we fulfill on that mission and make our community a healthier, happier place.

Cost:
This is a community generated event, your money goes directly to paying DJs, teachers, and the venue. We operate on a sliding scale with a suggested range from $7 (for those of limited means) - $28 (for those with higher incomes/wealth). We suggest that if you can afford a movie and popcorn without stressing about it, you lean towards the 28 side rather than the 7. No one is turned away for lack of funds, and we all rely on each other so our community can thrive.
What:
Fusion Partner Dancing is an ever-evolving dance style that pulls from various dance styles, cultures, and techniques. This creates a unique dance with each partner as you fuse your styles with your partner and the music. Never danced before? No worries, ALL skill levels are welcome.
Music:
We enjoy dancing to all types of music. If it makes you want to move, you might hear it here. Afro-Beats, Blues, Latin, Alt-electronic music, remixes, covers and mash-ups all find a home in Fusion Dancing events.
