Choral Arts Alliance of Missouri (CAAM) is proud to welcome Columbia College as our partner for the 11th annual Unity concert, continuing its powerful tradition of bringing together voices from all backgrounds to celebrate the rich heritage of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Over the past decade, Unity has raised more than $19,000 for local organizations including CoMo Mobile Aid Collective, Men’s Minority Network, Granny’s House, United Community Builders, and City of Refuge. This year’s beneficiary is The Flourish Initiative, a Columbia nonprofit providing youth who face economic and educational barriers with community, mentorship, and opportunities to support their development and success in high school and beyond. Join us for an evening of powerful harmonies, soulful melodies, and joyful spirit that embody the gospel tradition, while honoring Dr. King’s call to do what is right even in difficult circumstances: “when people get caught up with that which is right and they are willing to sacrifice for it, there is no stopping point short of victory” (“I’ve Been to the Mountaintop,” 1968).
Don’t miss this jubilant evening of musical excellence and community impact!
