Welcome to the 10TH Annual UNITED we STAND Artisan Market held in loving memory of Jessica Nethery. For the past decade we have come together to raise funds and awareness for local organizations that help our community battle Domestic Abuse.
This year the event's proceeds will go to Sarnia-Lambton Rebound’s TAG Program, donated in Jessica’s honor.
As an organization, Rebound is a leader in the field of prevention and early intervention services for youth. Their holistic approach to skill development includes life skills facilitation, education and cognitive skills training, combined with holistic supports such as the expressive arts and relaxation techniques. Our programs allow youth to practice new coping strategies that fit with real life. We offer a variety of programs and services designed to empower youth ages 8-24 years old can be supported with individual support to 10 week group programs to after school drop in sessions, youth can always expect to find a safe, caring and accepting space when they come to Rebound.
Rebound’s Mission is to be a caring partner in the successful development of youth, with the Vision to focus on the well-being of young people and their families. To promote changed attitudes and behaviours that assist young people in achieving their full potential. To network young people and mentors to create meaningful opportunities for discovery and purpose. To strive for excellence in all areas of our organization through competency and commitment to youth and families.
Specifically, the TAG (Tools for Achieving Growth) program works with youth who identify as male between the ages of 8-12 to develop skills and techniques to address impulse control, aggression, positive decision-making, bullying and building healthy friendships.
Prevention is the ley to ending Domestic Abuse, and this starts with our youth. By giving them the tools they need to successfully navigate their lives, feelings and emotions we can help them become everything they dream of and more… violence free.
The event this year will have over 30+ local Artisan's and MUCH more.
There will also be a online silent auction that will run on Facebook from October 28th – Nov 4th.
WOW 10 years this event has been running, so many families and youth have been supported – THANK YOU Sarnia !!!!
