Each year we partner with the United Way of North Central Massachusetts to be part of their Day of Caring.Registration is required for this event on the United Way website (Facebook RSVPs do not count). We've reached our maximum volunteer count; however, Gateway Park Community Garden gardeners are encouraged to participate if they would like to clean up their garden beds while there are other volunteers. It will be a wonderful way to meet other community members and have help cleaning out our garden area.
The United Way Day of Caring is an amazing event that mobilizes the power of volunteers from local companies and community residents. Last year, over six hundred volunteers united to complete 62 projects at 48 local agencies!
We will be removing brush, W**d mitigation, trash cleanup, community garden bed-building, and trail work. You are encouraged to bring your own hand tools and gloves.
