United Way of Fort Smith Area Partners with ANNIKA Women's All Pro Tour for the 6th Annual United Way Classic Golf Tournament
Fort Smith, AR (April 1, 2025) – The United Way of Fort Smith Area (UWFSA) is thrilled to announce the 6th Annual United Way Classic golf tournament, presented by Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland, set to take place May 5th - 9th, 2025, at Hardscrabble Country Club. New to the Classic for 2025 is an exciting new partnership with the ANNIKA Women's All Pro Tour. This prestigious collaboration will bring over 125 aspiring LPGA professionals to the greens of Fort Smith, Arkansas, marking a significant milestone in the tournament's history.
This year's tournament promises to be remarkable. It will showcase the talents of emerging female golfers from across the globe and provide a unique opportunity for the local community to witness future stars of the LPGA Tour. The partnership with the ANNIKA Women's All Pro Tour underscores UWFSA's commitment to innovation and community engagement while also supporting the dreams of these incredible athletes.
Shea Foldvary, President and CEO of UWFSA, expressed his enthusiasm for the changes to the tournament experience, stating, "We are so excited to partner with the ANNIKA Women's All Pro Tour for our 6th Annual United Way Classic. Since the tournament's inception in 2020, it has generated $418,000 for our participating partner agencies and initiatives. This new collaboration with the WAPT elevates the tournament to new heights, and we look forward to welcoming these talented athletes to Fort Smith and creating an unforgettable experience for players and spectators."
The United Way Classic is FREE to the public and invites participants and sponsors to join in. It promises to be a week of competitive golf and fun events! The week will start with a Youth Clinic on Monday, May 5th, followed by a Pro-Am tournament on Tuesday, May 6th. The professionals will begin play on Wednesday, May 7th, and will finish up with the championship check presentation on Friday, May 9th. Proceeds support UWFSA's participating partner agencies, which work to provide Healthy Communities, Youth Opportunities, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency for individuals and families in the Fort Smith area.
