UNRWA has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.Norwegian Labour MP Asmund Aukrust informed one of Norway's largest newspapers that he has nominated UNRWA for the Nobel Peace Prize "for its long-term work in providing vital support to Palestine and the region as a whole."
Meanwhile, many Western countries, including the US, have halted their funding for UNRWA following Israeli allegations that 12 of its employees were involved in the October 7 attack.
