Join us for Divine Legal Collective’s first fundraising event – a community Remembrance & Overdose Awareness Dinner at John’s Pizzeria in Rockford, Illinois.We’re hosting this gathering in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day (August 31st) to remember lives lost, raise awareness, and unite against the divisions created by addiction.
This is personal for us. We’re coming together to honor the memories of my Uncle Junior, my friend Rikki, and so many others from our generation who were taken too soon. Our goal is to create a space for stories, laughter, tears, and connection — so families, friends, and children can hear memories they may have never known.
🎯 Purpose:
Raise awareness about how addiction affects all communities in different ways — and how it’s often used to divide us.
Collect names and memories of loved ones lost to drugs in the Rockford area.
Build partnerships with people and organizations in both Illinois and Michigan to support underrepresented communities.
Direct proceeds toward youth addiction homes and centers.
