Join us for a full day of music, art, food and community action to raise funds for famine relief in Gaza. As the genocide in Gaza continues to devastate so many lives, please help us gather in solidarity. From 1pm to 11pm on Saturday October 25th, the Kickstart Arts courtyard and schoolhouse in Moonah will come alive with a stacked live music lineup, documentary screening and workshop, DJs, food and drink, a silent art auction, raffle and more!
Supported by the Tasmanian Palestine Advocacy Network (TPAN), this event features a powerful documentary screening on the themes of Palestinian culture and resistence, alongside music, community, and conversation. TPAN is a grassroots collective based in Lutruwita/Tasmania, committed to advocating for justice, self-determination, and freedom for Palestine through education, direct action, and solidarity.
All proceeds from door sales, art auction, raffle and TPAN merch sales will go toward the Gaza Soup Kitchen and supporting TPAN’s work locally. Come through, learn, connect, and stand with Palestine.
The United For Palestine collective has brought together a huge day of incredible music from local favourites, with sets by The Native Cats, Funeral Jeans, Chiroweg!, The Conversationalists, Who Threw That, St Bedlam, Dealer & Voter, BRM and Tasha Zappala. DJs Violet U, Quantumpuss and Kireesh will keep us swinging into the night.
Throughout the day in the old schoolhouse we're hosting a silent auction + exhibition, featuring generous donations from local artists from Lutruwita. Plus, there are equally generous prizes to be won in our raffle, which we'll be annoucing soon! There’ll be food by Stábla, sweet treats by Zen Gelato, and a bar running all day.
Pre-sale tickets are available, all proceeds going directly to humanitarian aid (Gaza Soup Kitchen) and community-based organising (TPAN).
Gaza Soup Kitchen is one of the only organisations who are working on the ground, providing desperately needed supplies during the Israeli-imposed food blockade (see link below).
This is a completely grass roots and community led event, our aim is to make it as accessible as possible. We've changed locations this time so there are no stairs! Please let us know how we can help make this event the most accessible for you. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, there will be a sliding scale for folks who can’t pay full entry. First Nations get in free of charge.
Further details, full set times, and artist announcements will be posted over the next few weeks so stay tuned folks!
We acknowledge this event will take place on the stolen land of the Palawa people and that sovereignty was never ceded.
Always was, always will be.
Free Palestine.
