On the evening of October 4, Atlanta chooses light. Atlantans will gather across the city,"Unite in Light" is about various neighborhood gatherings that will illuminate Ponce de Leon Avenue from downtown to Stone Mountain.
Join North Decatur Action (https://ndact.org/) here at Heck.house for as the hub for the spread on E Ponce from Valley Brooke to McLendon/Glendale.
6:30p Gather at Heck - make a sign, grab a glow stick, and meet your neighbors!
7:00p Spread out along E Ponce from Heck to McLendon/Glendale.
7:15p Shine your light!
7:45p Head back to Heck for an after-party.
Street parking can be limited. Please walk and rideshare/carpool when you can.
Heck.house is mostly wheelchair-friendly with a ramp and ADA-compliant bathroom. Please email Paula ahead of time to arrange a parking space via email: [email protected].
Bring your lights! You can use candles, glow sticks, battery-operated devices such as fairy lights, and positive, hopeful signs! If you want to donate glow sticks or other supplies, please drop them off in the pavilion at Heck.
Bringing food/snacks and drinks (including alcoholic drinks) is welcome, mostly for the after-party.
Singing of inspirational protest songs is being planned. Details will be added if confirmed.
