About this Event
This event is primarily for UniSA Business students undertaking an internship/placement course in SP7 2021 or SP2 2022.

The Business Internship Program is building on the success of our return to in-person networking in April 2021 where we had 100+ students connecting with 60+ industry personnel, from this many matches were made that developed into placements - and for some they may even turn new connections into jobs!
This will be a formal facilitated networking session designed to maximise your opportunity to connect with relevant industry personnel. The aim of this session is that you will be able to identify an industry partner(s) that you would like to progress to a self-placement.
This is a unique opportunity to increase your professional network and gain access to a wide range of industry partners who are experienced placement hosts. Proposed Program for the morning:
8:30 - 8:45 am: Arrive and register
8:45 - 9:00 am: Pre-event briefing and preparation
9:00 - 11:00 am: Industry and Student facilitated networking
11:00 am: Event close - complete post-event survey to confirm matches
Dress code: Business casual
Due to COVID-19 capacity limits, numbers at this event may be capped. If so, preference will be given to those enrolled or intending to enrol in a placement course in SP7 2021 or SP2 2022.
FAQs
What do I need to prepare? You will have a 30 second 'elevator pitch' outlining what you're studying, what your interests are, and when you are seeking to undertake a placement.
Will I have the opportunity to meet every/any industry partner I want to? Due to the scale of the event this is likely not possible. However, we do try and rotate people as much as possible. These rotations are all formulated prior to the event based on preferences noted by industry partners when registering. This worked well at the last event and will be improved further based on lessons learned and participant feedback.
Will you share the list of Industry Partners prior to the event? Yes, we will include this in pre-event updates in the fortnight preceding the event. We recommend you undertake some research prior to the event to assist you when connecting with the industry partners.
