"Unique Sneaks" Come create sneakers that celebrate you and me and all that makes us perfectly unique!
Together with Elston and Windy O'Connor, Books of Belonging invites you to a one-of-a-kind event. Nestled into a creative space outdoors at the McColl Center, children will have the opportunity to hand paint their very own custom sneakers alongside the vibrant artist, WindyO'Connor. After painting, guests will browse and read books, mingle with featured authors, enjoy music from Dj Arod and grab a sweet treat from the vintage ice cream truck.
Proceeds go directly to Books of Belonging, a non profit organization that provides all children access to books that celebrate diversity in its many forms.
Tickets go on sale October 14th and are limited. Child painter's ticket- $100 includes sneakers and all event amenities. Guardians and siblings- $20 each includes event amenities.
Suggested age for painters is 8-14
There will be a staggered entrance time for attendees to allow for social distancing and quality time with the authors and artist.
