Union County Empty Bowls Project: A Two-Part Hunger Awareness EventThe Empty Bowls Project culminates in a heartfelt community gathering where we come together to share a simple yet delicious meal. Our goal is to emphasize the vital message that no bowl should be empty in our community. But first, we need your help!
Part One: We Need 300 Clay Bowls for the Community Meal!
How It Works:
1. Create a Bowl: After purchasing a ticket, a volunteer will reach out to schedule your bowl-making session.
2. No Experience Necessary: Our experts will guide you through the process, allowing you to express your creativity!
3. Session Duration: Each session lasts about 2-3 hours.
4. Community Meal: All bowls created will be used at the community meal on March 16, 2025. Tickets ranging from $20 to $55 include your seat at this event!
Join Us to Make an Impact on Local Hunger Issues:
• Scheduling: Now through February 2025! A volunteer will reach out to schedule your bowl-making session.
• Location: Crooked Door Studio, 125 N. Main Street, Marysville, OH or Marysville Art League, 264 W 5th St. Marysville OH
• Open Studio Hours: Wednesdays from 4 PM - 7 PM and select Saturdays from 10 AM - 1:30 PM and dates by request
• Group Participation: Organize friends, family, co-workers, or community members to join! We can arrange private studio time for your group upon request. Feel free to bring snacks and beverages to enjoy during studio time!
Once we’ve crafted all 300 bowls, we invite you to join us for the Community Meal!
Part Two: Come together for a humble meal that raises funds and promotes awareness of hunger in our area.
Community Meal event details:
• Date: Sunday, March 16, 2025
• Location: Memorial Hospital In-Patient Pavilion, Bistro '52, 500 London Ave, Marysville, OH 43040
• Lunch Hours: 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM (last seating)
Meal ticket information:
• Price: $20.00 per guest
o Tickets $35/$55 purchased for bowl creation include a seat at the community meal!
• Meal ticket includes:
o A choice of a stoneware bowl to keep
o Gourmet bowl of soup
o Homemade bread
o Dessert
