ASME/NNE members are invited for the following SME tour.Please join us on Wednesday, April 23 for a tour along with several presentations at the University of New Hampshire’s Manchester campus, located in the mill yard at 88 Commercial St., Manchester, NH. The program starts at 5:00 PM and ends at 8:30 PM. Please park in the front of the building adjacent to Commercial St.; there is additional parking to the left (south) of the building (the top level of a parking garage), or to the right (north) of the building in the lot if no spaces are in front. Then enter through the main door(s) where the overhead canopy is in the center. Entry must be done here at the main door as there is a security checkpoint to proceed through; ring the buzzer to gain entry as necessary. This entrance is on the 2nd floor and the meeting will start and end at room P149, one floor lower than the entrance – follow signs and/or personnel who will direct you to this room. If you arrive late and need to be buzzed in, please call our tour organizer, Bob, at 603-660-4832 to gain entry.
As for the UNH personnel providing the presentations and tour, they will be the following: the Dean and Associate Dean of Engineering, 3 Engineering Tech faculty members, and approximately 6 Eng Tech students to demonstrate their capstone robotics projects and the labs.
The program tentatively is as follows:
5:00 - Start arriving and mingle in Room P149
5:30 - Tour starts, we will tour the Stem-Mobile (20 minutes), then proceed to the 6th floor for the Biotech and ARMI labs tour
6:20 - Back to Room P149 to have dinner (tentatively sandwiches and some salad options) and watch students test robots on the game field
7:15 - Do a brief tour of the Electrical ET, the Mechanical ET, and the 3D Printer labs (all first floor); a tour of the machine shop lab will be last
8:00 or so – Return to Room P149 to end the meeting and have any remaining questions answered
