About this Event
Let’s dance our way into the warmth & light half of the year, honoring earth’s blessings with unfurling prayer. With the support of sacred cacao and the fertility Goddess, IxCacao, we will be uplifted into a dance with intent on creating a prayer bundle, a despacho, to be offered to our mother earth.
Similar to a mandala or sacred creation, the despacho holds symbolic elements and the prayers of the participants. As the elements are added to the despacho, the vibration of the participants and the room raises. The despacho becomes a living prayer that brings energy shifts and healing.
• Bring flowers, crystals, silver, and sweets to offer that are meaningful to you.
(We will have offerings available as well.)
This will be a dance of intent, for calling high-Spring’s radiance, fertility, and fresh abundance into our lives. We welcome the wishes we have for ourselves, our families, our communities, the world, and spiraling cosmos.
All will be offered to the prayer bundle, when individually inspired, during dance.
It’s time to unfurl your radiance, time to stretch into beauty, time to let your prayers flow!
• Sip on Peruvian cacao, with blissful heart-opening compounds.
• Dance your intentions into being, through ritual movement.
• Join in creating a collective prayer bundle (despacho) with love and intention.
• Anna & Teresa will bury the despacho in the earth after dance so she may receive your prayers and return support to you over the Spring & Summer months.

• Dress comfortably.
• Bring a water bottle.
• Bring special items you’d like to add to the prayer bundle
• Avoid heavy food beforehand, a light meal is recommended.

Movement enthusiast Anna Dale has been curating music for and hosting Ecstatic Dance events in the Portland area for over 15 years. She weaves opportunity for participants to dip into ego & shadow realms to discover and tend the somatic soil of the unconscious, but does not stop there… With spaciousness and rich artistry, there is room within the dance journey to discover new flavors of JOY, refreshed identity, and connection with SPIRIT. Expect a passionate call to rekindle deeper relationship to Nature and the Earth through powerful yet grounded embodiment. Guided by Chi Chocolate:
Teresa Ulrich works with cacao as ‘sacred medicine’ for soothing hearts and awakening soul essence. She has worked in the chocolate industry for 15 yrs., including work on a cacao farm in Fiji., where cacao trees and farmers have been her great teachers. She crafts her ceremonial cacao from scratch, selecting fine-flavor cacao beans that contain euphoric compounds for an extra blissful experience.
