About this Event
Black Girl Day Off encourages Black women to take a mental day off to focus on our emotional well-being. The constant demands placed on Black bodies and minds, coupled with the creativity and cultural leadership we’ve provided, underscore the importance of rest. This day is about reclaiming time, space, and energy that have historically been denied. Black Girl Day Off allows Black women to restore, heal, and engage in self-care—necessities for breaking the cycle of burnout.
This day is also a form of resistance. By taking time off, we challenge the societal expectation that they must always be “on,” always laboring, and always producing, despite facing the disproportionate physical, emotional, and psychological tolls that come with being a Black woman in a world that has yet to fully recognize our humanity.
From the comfort of your bed, Join us Friday, October 11th at 3p et for a guided meditation and energy healing session.
