The ten-day event series "unexpected territories" by singuhr - projekte with exhibitions, concerts, workshops and a symposium (1-10.7.) will follow in the footsteps of the American composer, performer and legendary pioneer of live electronics, David Tudor (1926-1996).The series kicks off with a double concert at the Villa Elisabeth. The programme includes David Tudor's piece "Untitled" from 1972/1994 with a video-still by Sophia Ogielska, and two world premieres: In "Subject to Change - for video and sound (for D.T.)", Phil Edelstein, who himself performed with Tudor until the 1990s, reflects on Tudor's vision of a sound-based video control. Swedish artist Mats Lindström stages an immersive environment with "One (for David Tudor)", in which sound and neon light are synchronised.

DE/ Auf die Spuren des amerikanischen Komponisten, Performers und legendären Pioniers der Live-Elektronik David Tudor (1926-1996) begibt sich die zehntägige Veranstaltungsserie »unexpected territories« von singuhr – projekte mit Ausstellungen, Konzerten, Workshops und einem Symposium (1.7.-10.7.).
Den Auftakt bildet ein Doppelkonzert in der Villa Elisabeth. Auf dem Programm stehen neben David Tudors Stück »Untitled« von 1972/1994 mit einem Videostill von Sophia Ogielska zwei Uraufführungen: In »Subject to Change - for video and sound (for D.T.)« reflektiert Phil Edelstein, der selbst noch bis in die 1990er Jahre mit Tudor performte über Tudors Vision einer klangbasierten Videosteuerung. Und der schwedische Künstler Mats Lindström inszeniert mit »One (for David Tudor)« ein immersives Environment, bei dem Klang und Neon-Licht synchronisiert werden.
