Undivided Spirit: A Concert of Strength and Unity

The Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble (MORE Opera) presents “Undivided Spirit: A Concert of Strength and Unity” a free performance of opera excerpts and Dominican and African American music arranged by composer and pianist Dr. Patricio Molina on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 7:30 PM at West End Collegiate Church, 245 West 77th Street, New York, NY 10024. The program includes a dramatic narrative in Spanish and English linking the African Diaspora and colonialism with the concepts of freedom unity and the American dream to the music of Harry T. Burleigh, Leslie Adams, Patricio Molina, and others. Dr. Molina conducts MORE Opera soloists Cheryl Warfield Rachel Silverstein and Emmanuel Cruz and an intergenerational community chorus from the pianoforte. This performance will be presented the week of the 2024 national election.
