Come one, come all, and show us how the heck you get a super buoyant pumpkin 23' under water! As the event title hints at, we're going to be carving pumpkins... underwater! It might sound easy, but pumpkins are surprisingly uncooperative dive buddies, what with their super buoyant nature and all! Be prepared to adapt as you go, laugh along the way, and share your scuba diving art skills!
Along with your standard dive gear, make sure to bring the following!
-A pumpkin!
-A plan to get the pumpkin down (think weights, containers, webbing, etc.).
-Drawing and carving tools
-Your artistic flair!
-A mesh bag to catch pumpkin guts (don't leave a mess in the lake!)
BUDDIES:
Don't worry If you don't have a dive buddy. We are a SOCIAL Club and we will make sure you get introduced to a buddy.
SCHEDULE
We have reserved Cook Shack #1 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
9:30 am to 10:00 Registration, C-cards, liability waivers, membership confirmation and gear up.
10:30 am Sharp Dive briefing & buddy teams.
10:45 to 11:45 Dive and carve your pumpkin.
12:00 noon Lunch break. Food and drinks to be provided!
12:30 Pumpkin judging and group photo.
1:00pm - 2:00pm Clean-up and tear down (pick up all your pumpkin guts!)
NOTE: You must be a member in good standing of the Underwater Outlaws SCUBA Social club to dive at this event. Memberships fees are $40 per year and you can sign up through the Underwater Outlaws website: www.underwateroutlaws.com
