About this Event
This HALF DAY TRAINING consists of lecture, videos and case studies to provide an introduction to trauma, types of trauma and trauma exposure, and common human responses to trauma. This presentation looks at how trauma affects the brain and provides simple strategies that can be used to support students within your classrooms and people you work with that have been affected by trauma.
On October 25, 2024 we will host two unique training sessions:
- morning session will focus on strategies for Educators working in classrooms
- afternoon session focused on strategies for Community Helpers in diverse settings
Disclaimer: Learning and discussing trauma can be a sensitive subject. Attendees should be aware that multiple types of trauma, including child abuse will be discussed within this presentation.
