Understanding the Requirements of HMRC and PAYE - ILM level 3 Accredited

This accredited training session will give you an understanding of the implications of VAT, PAYE, National Insurance and tax regulations on the business. Find out what happens if you fail to register and how to avoid the pitfalls by registering appropriately.

The workshop provides an overview of the legal requirements of PAYE including the why, how and when to register. It will also cover legal requirements of VAT registration and explain the correct format in which to maintain records. Learn what business finance records need to be retained to comply with HM Revenues & Customs.

You will also learn how to overcome the hurdles associated with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax (MTD). Find out what the MTD requirements are about and how it impacts upon record keeping. Discover who has to use the MTD service and who is exempt.

On successful completion of the assessment at the end of this module you gain a unit of credit at level 3.

The workshop will be delivered by Polly Wilson, Programme Leader, within the Liverpool Business School (LBS) at Liverpool John Moores University. Polly has taught within LBS in various finance modules and previously worked with a variety of private and public sector organisations from start up, charities and through to international global organisations, for over 20 years.
