About this Event

What's the point of moving in Newcastle? A workshop to understand the physical activity landscape in Newcastle.

In the second session of this workshop we will be covering the same topics discussed in the workshop 13 March at The Common Room.

It is an opportunity to bring a range of organisations and sectors together to explore what the physical activity system is in Newcastle, and how it can be further improved.

There will be 6 themed discussions, with the option to participate in two over the afternoon. These are:

· Sport and Recreation for All – Community Wide Programmes

· Active Urban Design including Active Travel

· Children and Families through Whole of School Programmes

· Public education and Mass Media

· Healthcare

· Workplaces

You will be asked to select your discussion themes as part of your ticket reservation.

The workshop will be facilitated by the NE Office for Health Improvement and Disparities with support from Rise, the Active Partnership for Northumberland, Tyne and Wear.

Thanks also to the Local Governement Association and North East Asscociation of Directors of Public Health and Urban Foresight for their contributions to the event.

Newcastle City Council is grateful for Urban Foresights’ support with organising this event, including managing and handling participant data as part of the booking process
