Understanding the Importance of Market Research

Market research can save a business time, money, and unnecessary effort. This workshop is designed to help business owners understand what marketing research is and what steps you need to follow to conduct proper research.

Using a market research case study, this workshop provides a hands-on opportunity to learn about a critical marketing management activity.

You’ll learn how to:

• Identify the core reasons why research can help you as a business owner.
• How to conduct market research for your business and the steps you need to take.
• Identify who you need to talk to in order to assess if there is a need for your product or service.

Refreshments will be provided. Attendees are welcome to stay for an informal networking session following the workshop.

Note: Participants are welcome to bring their laptops or tablets. Wifi will be available.

Location:

This workshop takes place at the Huron County Economic Development office, located at 57 Napier Street. Attendees are asked to park along Napier Street or at the rear parking areas off Gloucester Terrace. If parked at the rear, participants must walk around the building to the front entrance. The workshop will take place in the boardroom on the Main Floor.

Speaker Bio:
David Cohen, Your Big Venture - Business Coaching and Learning
David is an author, business coach, and facilitator and he hosts a weekly Podcast called 26 Minutes With. He has taught thousands over the years in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors and has coached business owners to sell, plan and market their ventures successfully. He specializes in helping business owners mine their strengths, get clear on their value, their markets and then begin to develop a sales and marketing game plan that gets results.

David has worked with the City of Toronto, The Toronto Public Library, the City of Mississauga, Alterna Savings, ACTA, The Richmond Hill Small Business Enterprise Centre, EDCO, Transat Travel Group, and Youth Employment Services to name a few.
