Understanding On Calibration Training
A One-Day Training (HRD Corp Claimable Training)
INTRODUCTION
Calibration is a key component in all systems where instruments are used to collect measurements for the purpose of assessing the reliability and capability of manufacturing operations, testing products against specification in laboratories, and determining compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. The accuracy of such measurements is dependent on regular calibration of the measuring instruments. The calibration requirements in standards such as ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards.
By attending this training, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of calibration principles, methods, and best practices. They will be equipped to effectively implement calibration programs within their organizations, leading to improved measurement accuracy, product quality, and overall operational efficiency.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES:
- Able to handle and manage the measurement instrument and gages
- Know how to verify and validate a calibration report
- How to interpret and understand the content of a typical calibration report
- Contrast resolution, precision and accuracy of a measurement system
- Describe measurement uncertainty
- The basic concept of metrology for different types of calibrations and the technical terms commonly used
- Specifications, tolerances and accuracies
- Practice session on using gages for measurements and GR&R assessment.
METHODOLOGY
- For all F2F - Participants will be involved in 60% briefing and training in concepts and theory. Remaining 30% will be group and team discussions, guidance, coaching, provide feedback and 10% shall be selected by video presentation on best practices.
TARGET AUDIENCE
