Ready to explore your first try, or deepen your understanding of headmovements beyond just “doing the move”?This intensive is all about technique, structure, safety, and flow. Whether you dance Brazilian Zouk, Bachata, WCS, Salsa, or Kizomba, you’ll learn how headmovements really work in the body, and how to execute them with clarity and control.
We organize this intensive twice per year, always revisiting the same fundamental concepts through new combinations and training approaches. That makes this event valuable for everyone, whether it’s your first time or your fifth.
💫 What we’ll train
In this 3-hour intensive, Lisa & Marcos will guide you through all the core headmovement techniques used in Brazilian Zouk:
✔️ Linear headmovements
✔️ Circular headmovements
✔️ Dives & rotisserie turns
✔️ Tilted turns
✔️ Body organization & safety principles
✔️ Leading & following with clarity and comfort
After the intensive, you’ll have 30 minutes of guided practice time to drill, ask questions, and integrate what you’ve learned.
🎯 Who is this for
This intensive is perfect for:
• Brazilian Zouk dancers who master the basics and want to go deeper
• Our Foundations students and up (Essentials course required)
• Intermediate+ dancers from Bachata, WCS, Salsa, Kizomba, and more
• Bachata dancers (intermediate+) interested in Bachazouk / headmovement technique
You don’t need a dance partner, but previous couple dance experience is mandatory.
We expect basic dance knowledge, footwork control, and comfort with weight transfers.

Brazilian Zouk teachers from Utrecht, combining 25+ years of dance experience and 15 years of teaching experience, and known for their clear explanations, technical depth, and supportive learning environment.
