Workshop: Understanding Benefits for Those with Disabilities - Specifically for parent carers supporting their young people with benefits.Join us for an informative workshop delivered by Community Law exploring the different benefits available for children and young people with disabilities.
The session will include:
45 minutes: Overview and understanding of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
followed by a 15-minute Q&A.
45 minutes: A detailed look at Universal Credit (UC) for young people with disabilities, including:
*When a young person can and can’t claim
*What happens if your young person is still in education
*When to move your young person off a parent’s claim
*When a young person should claim in their own right
*Understanding when and how to instigate Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity (LCWRA) or Limited Capability for Work (LCW)
Followed by a 15-minute Q&A to answer your questions.
