The team at Children's Autism Foundation presents "Understanding Autism", a 2‐hour workshop interactive workshop for parents/whanau and anyone who engages with children and young people on the Autism Spectrum. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of autism and with some simple strategies to support your child or the children you work with.
Topics include:
What is Autism?
What does Autism look like in children?
Common challenges faced by a child on the Autism Spectrum
Strengths that a child on the Autism Spectrum may have
Practical strategies & tips for living, supporting or teaching a child on the Autism Spectrum
Autism Q&A
This workshop is free for families/whanau/caregivers/community workers. $50 for professionals.
