About this Event
Understanding Attachment and Trauma is a reflective, trauma-informed training designed for professionals working with children, young people, families, or adults in relational roles.
Drawing on knowledge of child development, attachment theory, trauma, and therapeutic practice, this training supports participants to deepen their understanding of how early experiences shape behaviour, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.
The session will explore:
- Attachment and relational needs across the lifespan
- The impact of trauma and adversity on development and behaviour
- Understanding behaviour as communication
- The importance of safety, connection, and regulation in practice
Delivered in a relational, accessible way, the training balances theory with reflection and practical application, supporting participants to consider how learning can be applied within their own professional context.
This training is suitable for professionals across education, social care, health, community, housing, and organisational settings.
