Welcome to Understanding and Responding to Domestic Abuse event!
After the success of our other courses, we are excited to announce further dates for our popular Understanding & Responding to Domestic Abuse Course.
Whether you are a professional or an interested person this is a valuable course to attend. It will give you the tools to understand domestic abuse and importantly how to respond to it. This is vital when the statistics tell us that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men at some stage in their lives will be affected by domestic abuse.
The courses are held at Rotherham Rise HQ (18 High Street, S60 1PP, Rotherham) and run from 9:30 – 4pm on the following dates:

We recommendbooking to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited.
You will come away with a Certificate and a greater understanding of domestic abuse such as its meaning, prevalence and stereotypes, abuse in the context of relationships. We will also cover what to look out for such as the possible indicators and the effects of abuse including; barriers to leaving. Finally, we cover in some depth the best practices to responding to domestic abuse.
The course is suitable for all anyone whether you are working with adults or children.
This course will be presented by one of our qualified specialists.
