About this Event
From health care costs to medical debt to access to care, Central Valley residents report significant challenges when it comes to securing high-quality health care for themselves and their families. A recent poll of residents in Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Kings, and Tulare Counties by the California Health Care Foundation (CHCF), found that reducing the amount of money people pay for care, increasing access to mental health treatment services, and increasing the number of health care providers are among the region’s top health priorities.
How do health care cost challenges and workforce shortages affect the health care decisions of hundreds of thousands of Central Valley residents every year? How are Central Valley health system leaders collaborating to address health care priorities in the region? What innovative and effective strategies employed by community groups and organizations in the Central Valley can state leaders learn from and support?
Join CHCF in Fresno on May 14 for a two-part panel and hosted lunch with local health system leaders to understand how to meet the health needs of Central Valley communities.
