Alongside the Museum of Power's heritage weekend, children's author Murray Fisher will be celebrating the launch of his novel "Underlings: The Spark Engine" (https://murrayfisher.co.uk/book-underlings-the-spark-engine/) in the main pump room. The book is an exciting science-fiction adventure for ages 9+.Murray will be signing copies of the book from 10.00am-2.00pm, followed at 2.30pm by an exclusive reading from the book and a Q&A with the author and Alissa McDonald from Toller Press, the book's publisher.
There will also be a special scavenger hunt throughout the museum, themed around the book, with a prize for every child who completes it.
A fantastic family day out, with a chance to meet the author and purchase a personally signed copy of the book (synopsis below).

Barely surviving in the machine-powered subterranean city of Lode, lone underling Evin discovers a skeletal hand clutching a cryptic note.
