Join us June 28 - 30, at 7pm for our "Backyard BBQ" where we join a group of friends who are anxiously preparing for a surprise birthday party! This show has been created by an amazing group of Queer identifying artists from the Grande Prairie and Peace Region. The show is a journey that blends humor, storytelling, heartache and Queer history to create a heart warming story about why Pride continues to exist, and why we need to continue to do the work in our lives. This show is for anyone who is on their journey, whether it be someone who identifies as a part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community - or someone who identifies as an ally and wants to understand the community better.
Cavalcade Theatre Company believes first and foremost in accessibility, as such we do not charge for tickets for our show. We instead take donations at the door for the show. We do not believe that money should be a barrier to access the arts. Please consider RSVPing to the show so we can gauge audience numbers for each night.
The show starts at 7pm, doors will open at 6:30pm. It will take place at Prairie Hall in the Richmond Reception Centre! Please ensure to bring your favorite lawn chair or backyard BBQ seat for the show so that you can feel at home! Following the show will be space and time for conversations and a Q&A to ask all the questions you may have! We will have the ensemble and educators present to help answer questions. We cannot wait to see you there!
