Under Paris Skies will inspire you to swing, waltz, and sway into the night with joyous acoustic music inspired by sidewalk cafes, French cabarets, Argentine dance halls and Euro streets. Their repertoire includes Franco-American swing, vintage jazz, Latin and post-modern inventions. Steven Meger, Chris Hand, and Ron Reimer play a version of jazz invented and popularized by Reinhardt and others as the Hot Club of France in the 1930's and rediscovered in the early 2000's.Tango lesson with Dave Ford and Melinda Knutson at 7pm. Live band from 8-10:30pm.
All are welcome to join our friendly community of dancers! No experience or partner necessary--look for people wearing "Ask me to dance!" buttons--or bat your eyes and see what happens.
$15 admission/$10 with student ID.
