UNDER electronic music and arts festival was set up with an intention to promote the truly special, unique, playful and aesthetic aspects of the underground movement both locally and internationally, showcasing newcomers and legends of the electronic music scene, inviting the convergence of art and music between generations. Through the years it has hosted artists like Apparat, SLAM, Dasha Rush, Umwelt, Schwefelgelb, Byetone and many others.
First taking place in 2017 in Riga, it celebrated its 5th edition in 2024, moving to the main point of Latvian Baltic Sea – Liepāja city, the third-largest in the country. Liepāja is known throughout Latvia as "City where the wind is born", likely because of the constant sea breeze, and it’s going to be the European Capital of Culture in 2027.
In 2025, UNDER Festival will take place in both Liepāja and Riga, on 14-15 of March and 9-10 of May.
UNDER Festival is an international hub for electronic music fans from all walks of life, regardless of their racial, cultural, gender and social diversities, uniting them UNDER the festival values which they all commonly share.
