The riveting Fate motif, heard in the first and last movements, expresses it with unbridled intensity.The UNCSA Symphony Orchestra moves from darkness to light in the most dramatic of fashions. The program is also highlighted by the world premiere of “Vanishing” by UNCSA faculty composer Lawrence Dillon, whose work American Record Guide calls his work “lovely...austere...vivid and impressive.”
